The Eckoh Speech Grant is a new initiative designed to actually seek out those problems, and to showcase how well designed speech systems can tackle those issues head on and deliver real benefits to both the client and their end users. Through the Eckoh Speech Grant programme, we are encouraging any organisation, which may or may not have already utilised speech technology, to contact us with their customer contact problems and to challenge us to come up with an automated solution that truly delivers.

In 2009 we plan to select one or more of these challenges and provide up to £100,000 worth of our own resources to help make the solution become a reality! Terms & Conditions

• Only commercial and lawful submissions identifying a challenge or problem will be reasonably considered by Eckoh and the merits of any solution assessed solely by Eckoh. It is entirely at the discretion of Eckoh whether to consider or take up any challenge or problem submitted and/or invest any resources. The decision of Eckoh is final.
• Any solution offered by Eckoh to resolve a challenge or problem is the property of Eckoh and it owns all rights pertaining thereto.
• Please note that submissions will only be considered from corporate and business entities (i.e. not from individuals) and any potential solutions should be applicable in the UK market.
• Any applicant of a submission warrants that it holds the necessary rights, licences and consents required (including without limitation any consents required under prevailing UK data protection legislation including the Data Protection Act 1998) to put forward the problem or issue. The applicant fully indemnifies Eckoh in respect of any loss or damage, direct or indirect, or other liability arising from any third party claims relating to or arising from any submission.
• Any matters discussed or information disclosed in relation to any submission or problem shall be held in strictest confidence. All intellectual property rights and other associated rights in any materials, documentation and information provided by Eckoh are retained by Eckoh with all rights reserved.
• Any successful applicant agrees to enter into a non-disclosure agreement and a formal commercial agreement if so required by Eckoh.
