I’m worried about AI hallucinations. How do you stop those?

Eckoh AI uses a hybrid model alongside advanced guardrails, holding to the highest security standards in the industry. The AI agent uses NLU to drive call steering and structured conversations, but with the ability to switch to GenAI where appropriate. NLU acts as a guardrail for the unpredictability of GenAI. It can trigger fallback flows, escalation, or filter GenAI outputs. This means you won’t accidentally sell a car for $1. Independent advanced guardrails outside the LLM layer at both input and output provide greater control and risk-mitigation to ensure the AI agent is safe for regulated industries.

AI agent specifics

Can an AI agent hand off to a human agent?

Yes, absolutely. If a customer wants to talk to a person, or the AI agent can’t help the customer directly, it will hand off to a more skilled human agent.

What happens when it is unsure?

It depends on how you build your AI agent, but a general approach would be:
If the AI agent is unsure, it will ask for more information or clarification. If it’s still unsure, it will hand off to a human agent.
