Secure and friction free telephone payments
Today, customers expect to be able to make payments over the phone in the same, easy way they do online and instore.
With e-Wallet Payments - such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Pay by Bank app - a whole new series of payment options are available to enhance the customer experience while safeguarding payment data.
With your competitive edge being determined by your customer experience, being able to offer customers these payment options can help you differentiate your contact centre from the competition.
Working with Eckoh
e-Wallet Payments marry convenience with security – the core of contact centre service. By harnessing the security advances that mobile payments offer, Eckoh has created a new, flexible and scalable way to take friction free, yet secure, telephone payments.
Eckoh led the way with this solution, performing the world’s first secure payment using Apple Pay over the phone. This innovative culture keeps Eckoh ahead of the technology curve as we seek to keep contact centre secure payment technology evolving with market and customer behaviours.
Securing payments doesn’t end here either. Through the Eckoh Experience Portal you can also access our other market-leading solutions so you can offer your customer the choice of paying securely over the phone with an agent, within Web Chat or via an automated self-service platform so you can take payments at any time of day, or night.
How we helped Regtransfers
We’re not payment security experts, which is why we turned to Eckoh. Regtransfers have used competitor solutions in the past but found that these did not extend to alternative payment methods such as Apple Pay for Cardholder-Not-Present payments. This means we can get on with growing our business which is what we do best.
Here's the benefits
- Make frictionless payments convenient and secure
- Enhance customer experience with a smoother service and a wider range of payment options
- Provide an additional layer of security for everyone
- Reduce AHT by not collecting payment card or address details
- Increase security by authenticating transactions
- Reduce fraud or data loss as customer's payment card data is not shared with the contact centre.
DTMF stands for Dual Tone Multi-Frequency and refers to the sound made when you press a key on your telephone keypad. Masking these tones by converting them into monotones prevents anyone from identifying the actual numbers.
This technology is unique to Eckoh and protected by patents in the UK and US. It takes sensitive card data and replaces it in any systems with placeholder data making the data in the contact centre system meaningless and so of no value to thieves.
PCI DSS Compliance & Contact Centres
If you take card payments in your contact centre you’ll be exposed to sensitive card and personal data. That makes you vulnerable to fraud. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requires compliance to its standard to help reduce the risk of fraud
